Anjuna Beach
Known worldwide for its full moon parties, the Anjuna Beach lies at a
distance of 18 km from the Goan capital, Panaji. The area was discovered by
a group of travellers back in the 1960s. The beach offers abundant options
to make your holidays one of their kind. The Albuquerque Mansion, the
Mascarenhas Mansion and the Chapora Fort are the major architectural
attractions for tourists. The Wednesday Flea Market of Anjuna is no less
attraction.
Baga Beach
Yet another popular beach in Goa, the Baga Beach occupies a position
between the Colva and the Calangute beaches. The ambiance on and around the
beach offers some restful moments away from the hectic routines of daily
life. The Baga River, that passes alongside, is also a big lure for those
who are a bit less adventurous. There are a number of entertainment options

Bogmalo Beach

The
beach remains surrounded by verdant hills on its three sides. The golden
sand and the heart-stopping surf make it a desirable beach destination for
all. The beach is located close to the port town of Vasco da Gama. One can
also pay a visit to the exotic islands and shipwrecks that dot the silt here
and there. Bogmalo also boasts a PADI diving centre.
Calangute Beach
The beach has fine options of fun and frolic. Bounded by Candolim village
on its south and the Baga village on its north, the Calangute beach is a
regular haunt of tourists, both locals and outsiders. Close to the beach
will you find a number of water sports operators offering parasailing,
water-skiing and wind surfing.
Dona Paula Beach
The beach is situated 7 km west of Panaji, the capital city of Goa. The
quiet sandy beach derives its name from Dona Paula de Menzes, the daughter
of a viceroy, in the colonial era. Water sports buff can indulge themselves
in wind surfing, parasailing, water skiing, snorkelling, harpoon fishing
etc.
Majorda Beach
The beach lies south of the Bogmalo beach. It is the place where the
Jesuits first unwrapped the Goan toddy - sap from the coconut palms. And
even today, the Majordans are known to be the state's most well-versed
bakers. The Dabolim Airport is just at a distance of 18 km from here.
Varca Beach
Famous for Dolphin spotting and boat rides, the Varca Beach provides a
pristine a relaxed atmosphere for tourists. The beach remains lined with
restaurants and food joints that offer delectable sea food at affordable
rates. The sea is safe so you can also indulge yourself in swimming and
bathing here.
